About Us

The mission of the Somalia Cybersecurity Community is to promote cybersecurity awareness and education in Somalia through training, networking, and advocacy. We aim to provide resources and support to help people in Somalia improve their cybersecurity knowledge and practices, and to build a safer and more secure online environment for all.
In order to achieve our mission, we focus on three main areas of work:
Cybersecurity training and education: We believe that the most effective way to improve cybersecurity in Somalia is by providing people with the knowledge and skills they need to protect themselves and their communities from cyber threats. We offer a variety of workshops, seminars, and online courses that are tailored to the needs of different groups, including individuals, small businesses, and government agencies.
Networking and professional development: We recognize the importance of building a strong and vibrant cybersecurity community in Somalia. To this end, we host regular events and meetings to help members connect with one another and share knowledge and experiences. We also provide mentoring and coaching opportunities to help members develop their skills and advance their careers.
Advocacy and policy work: We believe that it is important to work with government agencies and other stakeholders to advocate for improved cybersecurity policies and practices in Somalia. We engage in regular dialogue with policymakers and regulators and provide input on proposed laws and regulations that impact cybersecurity.
